Summer Intern

Hello! My name is Caitlin Schoeman and I am from South Africa. My mother is a full-time CEF missionary, my father works as a construction Project Manager and I have two sisters. I have been interested in serving with CEF Hawaii since the Covid lockdown and I still can’t believe how wonderfully God has opened the doors for me to serve there. I look forward to reaching the children of Hawaii with the Good News of Jesus, along with Uncle Matt and the rest of the team.

I am currently a student at Liberty University studying Family and Child Development. I have a passion for reaching children and their families with the love of Jesus and I am so excited to grow and deepen my faith this summer by serving CEF of Hawaii.

Gakenia Nabea

Summer Intern

Hello, my name is Gakenia Nabea, I am the second oldest in a family of four children. I am currently attending KCC for Culinary Arts (Pastry Arts). While I enjoy baking and being in the kitchen, I also enjoy getting to serve and connect with children. I get to serve in the Kids Ministry at my church and get the chance to work with elementary students. Over the past two summers, I had the opportunity to serve and train in CEF and I enjoyed connecting and meeting with other christians, being challenged to stretch, and seeing how God can use us no matter the age. This year I will be an intern and my hope is to grow as a christian, challenge my faith, improve in my leadership skills, and go outside of my comfort zone.
